Barb wasn't a pigeon flyer but she was always ready to help us pigeon people when we had our special races, picnics and anything else we needed.

Barbara Joanne Martinson Jensen.  Born in Portland Oregon Sept. 7th, 1929, passed away Sept. 5th, 2008. Barbara was a life long resident of the Puyallup Valley. She graduated from Puyallup High School. In Feb. of 1949 she married Louis W. Jensen. She was a long standing member of the Puyallup Eagles. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents & 2 brothers, her husband Louis and her youngest daughter Patti. She is survived by her sister Sara Carlington, her children David (Johanna), Susan, Mary, Anne, 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren and many friends and extended family. A Memorial service will be held Monday, Sept. 15th, 2008 at 1:00pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on the corner of E. 56th & B Street in Tacoma. There will also be a viewing at Powers Funeral Home on Sept. 14th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Pioneer St. in Puyallup. She is happy now in the arms of her Lord and family.

JACK BYERS OF THE POP CLUB (PIGEONS OF PARADISE RACING PIGEON CLUB) CHICO, CALIFORNIA, PASSED ON TO BE WITH  HIS HIS HEAVENLY FATHER ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 15TH 2008.  JACK AND HIS WIFE DORTHY CAME TO THE PARADISE AND MAGALIA AREA IN THE EARLY 90'S FROM  THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA... JACK OWNED AN AUTO BODY REPAIR BUSINESS IN THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY.  JACK  WAS ALSO A CHAMPION  CROSS COUNTRY MOTORCYCLE RACER COMPETING IN THE  PRESTIGIOUS BAJA RACES ACROSS THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DESERT INTO MEXICO AND ONE TIME COMPETED WITH STEVE MCQUEEN..   JACK AND HIS WIFE DORTHY JOINED THE PIGEONS OF PARADISE RACING PIGEON CLUB IN 1994.. JACK WAS A  GREAT MEMBER AND HELD THE POSITION OF RACE SECRETARY AND TREASURE WITH THE HELP OF HIS WONDERFUL WIFE DORTHY.. JACK WAS ALWAYS ONE TO HELP A NEW FLYER AND HE WAS ALWAYS THERE TO HELP AT ANY CLUB FUNCTION..JACK SERVED AS EYE SIGN JUDGE FOR MANY YEARS AT OUR CLUB SHOWS... JACK, WILL BE SORELY MISSED BY ALL WHO HAD EVER GOTTEN TO KNOW THIS GENTLEMAN..GOOD BYE MY FRIEND..

Todd M. Novak 07/28/65 -- 02/04/09 Todd M. Novak passed away on 2/4/09 after years of medical problems. He is now free of them, Todd was a long time resident of Tacoma, graduating from Mount Tahoma High School in 1983 and was a long time employee of the family business Novak's Meats. Todd enjoyed music, sports and especially his animals. Todd you will be truly missed by so many friends and family. Services to be announced .
